In The Beginning

Did you know that at the beginning of time, everything was colorless? (Genesis 1:1)

The Bible says that long ago the earth was without shape and empty. It was so dark that darkness covered the top of the deep waters. (Genesis 1:2)

Can you imagine the ocean being black? Can you imagine a day without sunshine, or a garden without flowers? That's why colors are very important. Colors bring life and beauty to all things created by God. Colors are a gift from God.

In Genesis 9:13 God made a promise to us. He promised that the earth will never be destroyed again by a flood. As a sign of that promise He put a rainbow in the sky. Whenever we see a rainbow, we can think of God's promise. The rainbow is made up of all the colors.
