| After God made the sky, He made the dry land. God called the dry land earth. The earth is usually
brown. Brown reminds me of being lowly, or humble, or MEEKNESS. The Bible tells us to wear the ornament of a MEEK and quiet spirit, which is worth a great price in God's eyes. (I Peter 3:4) Meekness is one of the nine fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:23) Jesus also said in Matthew 5, "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." Meekness is not weakness. It's strength under control. Jesus was our example of being meek. He says, "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of Me, for I am MEEK and lowly in heart." (Matthew 11:27) Jesus humbled Himself, even unto death on the cross, so that we could live that abundant life in Him. (Philippians 2:8) |
