| After God created the earth, God made all the grass, and herbs, and trees. (Genesis 1:11) Have you
noticed how all plants have GREEN in them? The green stuff in the leaves is called chlorophyll
(pronounced kloh-ruh-fill). Chlorophyll helps the plants get energy from the sun. Isn't it wonderful
how God designed the whole universe? In Matthew 6:28-29 Jesus says, "Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these." Psalm 23:2 says, "He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters." We can just rest in God, because He is our Shepherd. Now look at the picture. We should be like that sheep in the pasture, not having a care in the world, because he knows that the Lord is his Shepherd, and takes care of him. We can REST in God. |
