Poem for Joanna by Mom

For a little while
you were lent to us
For a little while
We enjoyed your smile
Your gentleness and beaming joy
Touched countless others
needing a touch from the Father.

You were His instrument,
You were His hand
You were His listening ear
You were a tiny light
Shining in the darkness

A little fragile flower you were
But oh what strength emanated from you!
And now you go back to the Father.

Go now, little one,
We commit you into His hand
Into the everlasting Light and land
Till one day we meet again
On that distant shore
When we will be together once more

We love you, Joanna.
